Backstory of Edrath the Whisperer – Voice of Paranoia
Edrath was born as a prodigious philosopher in a city that prized knowledge above all else. His mind was razor-sharp, capable of piercing through layers of rhetoric, intention, and custom, revealing hidden motives that most would never suspect. Obsessed with uncovering the truth behind human behavior, he became increasingly convinced that reality was nothing more than a veil masking concealed agendas, conspiracies, and betrayal. Every gesture, every word, every glance seemed to him a coded message, and he could no longer trust even his closest companions.
His obsession escalated when he stumbled upon the ancient, forbidden texts of the Shadowed Halls—manuscripts that spoke of mirrors not as mere reflective surfaces but as vessels of consciousness and memory. The texts promised a path to see through all deception, but the price was the self: surrender to the reflection. Edrath embraced this path willingly, convinced that by merging with the mirrors, he could manipulate perception and reveal the ultimate truths hidden from mortal eyes.
